ABOUT LAURA WESTMAN
A coach for leaders, creatives, and those ready to step into the life they know is calling them.
Welcome. I’m Laura - coach, creator, recovering perfectionist, and someone who genuinely believes that dreams come true. Not in the glossy, curated way we’re sold on social media, but in the grounded, soul-level sense: where your future becomes something you can feel in your body, not just something you jot down on a goals list.
If you’re here, you’re probably already sensing a shift in yourself. Something in you is magnetized to this work. And there’s a reason for that. My clients tend to arrive at a moment where their creativity, leadership, and inner life are asking for more - more depth, more authenticity, more possibility, more aliveness.
This page is an invitation into what it’s really like to work with me.

Coaching With Me Is About Your Future - Not Your Past
I often tell people that coaching and therapy work beautifully together, but they’re not the same craft.
Therapy helps you process and close emotional loops from the past.
Coaching moves you toward the future you’re intentionally creating.
When we work together, I’m listening for the person you’re becoming - the future leader, artist, human you’ve told me you want to be - and I’m listening for the gap between that version of you and the way you relate to yourself today. Then our work becomes closing that gap with intention, compassion, and a sense of possibility.
If you’re wondering whether it’s the right time to work with a coach, a few good questions are:
Am I ready to be in closer conversation with my future?
Would I like to talk to Laura about that future on a regular basis?
If the answer is yes, you’re in the right place.

The Clients I Serve
My clients come from different worlds - small business owners, coaches, creatives, executives, nonprofit leaders, and corporate “girlies” with big visions - but they almost always sit at the intersection of two things:
Leadership + Creativity/Artistry/Soul
Some are building companies. Some are building lives. Many are building both at the same time.
What they share is a desire to bring their full, creative, brilliant selves into their work and their life - and to do it with integrity, courage, joy, and more ease than they’ve ever allowed themselves before.

What Coaching With Me Feels Like
My Approach: Imaginative, Soulful, and Grounded in Ontology
I am, admittedly, a Disney adult. That matters here.
Not because of the parks (though… yes), but because of what the philosophy represents for me:
Dreams come true. Imagination is a portal. Play matters. Creativity is a form of intelligence.
I bring that ethos into coaching - not as escapism, but as a reminder that change doesn’t have to be cold, sterile, or punishing. Growth can be artful. Healing can be playful. Leadership can feel like soul work. And sometimes the fastest path forward is the one paved with curiosity rather than force.
As a former coach trainer (yep, I trained coaches for years), I bring rigor and depth to the craft. I also bring creativity, humor, storytelling, metaphor, and a surprising amount of “wait… how did that question open everything up?”
We build a future vision together - a coaching “project.”
We create milestones.
Then each session is dedicated to moving you toward the next one.
Some days you’ll come with a clear coaching request.
Some days you’ll arrive overwhelmed.
Either way, I help you sift through the noise to find the one thing that will move you forward.
Coaching with me is structured, intuitive, improvisational, and deeply relational.

Why This Work Matters To Me
Years ago, I lost my singing and speaking voice. It felt like the death of a dream.
Rebuilding it - slowly, imperfectly, and with immense healing - taught me that dreams don’t disappear. They wait.
Today, I sing, I write, I play in a band, I coach, I create.
My artistic life and my coaching life aren’t at odds. They support each other.
And I help my clients build lives where their fullest expressions can coexist the same way.
I believe in futures we’re brave enough to name.
I believe in the unseen part of you that already knows what you want.
I believe that the more you orient to your vision, the more inevitable it becomes.

When You’re Ready
If you’re feeling a tug toward this work - even if it’s quiet, tender, or uncertain - reach out.
It’s not weird. It’s not too soon. It’s not too late.
Whether we met years ago or you just found me yesterday, I’ll be glad to hear from you.
Coaching is a partnership. It’s personal. We’ll have questions for each other. We’ll find out whether now is the right time and whether I’m the right person to walk alongside you.
And if we do work together, you’ll be joining a community of people who are actively becoming the partners of their dreams - to their work, their creativity, their relationships, and themselves.

Beyond 1:1: Leadership Development & Team Work
In addition to private coaching, I co-lead West of Wonderland with my brilliant friend and co-conspirator, Bay LeBlanc Quiney.
Together we offer:
- Leadership development programs
- Team-building retreats
- Customized organizational training
- Professional development experiences that are… actually enjoyable
- Creative, imaginative workshops (yes - sometimes theme-park inspired)
Teams repeatedly tell us how surprised they are to feel energized, connected, and genuinely transformed by work that is usually dull and obligatory.

A Final Word
If there’s one thing I want you to take away from this page, it’s this:
Your dreams matter.
Your future matters.
And you don’t have to create any of it alone.
If you feel the pull, reach out.
I’d love to hear from you.
And you don’t have to create any of it alone.
If you feel the pull, reach out.
I’d love to hear from you.
